Ordinary Objects: cup

Ordinary Objects is an exploration of everyday objects that aim to consider aesthetic concepts of beauty, value and goodness. The first object in the series ‘cup’ was designed and made by Sarah Spackman for Project 30, an exhibition curated by Kenny Son.

By exhibiting objects designed and produced with beauty and longevity in mind, Project 30 aims to elevate the idea that the objects we live with shouldn’t merely be functional. Through considered design decisions and craftsmanship, the objects we use and surround ourselves with have the potential to enrich our daily lives.
– Kenny Son

Project 30 featured work by Bianca Chang, Kwangho Lee, Hyun-seok Sim, Kenny Yong-soo Son, Sarah Spackman and Henry Wilson and was exhibited at Small Spaces, Redfern, November 19 – Dec 3 2014.
